Why do my lips keep getting chap?

I put on lip gloss and vasline and they always end up dry.Why do my lips keep getting chap?
when you start using chapsticks and all, your lips will get used to them and dry out faster, making you put more and more on. ive had the same problem.. i used chapsticks every 20mins for 2 weeks, now that i didnt put any on in 5 days my lips have dry dead cells coming off.. buy a chapstick that has lots of moisturizer (preferably one that has no flavour because ive noticed they dry out faster) the best one i like is Labello. after you put it on, you can put lipgloss on top. vasline and lipgloss dont work good together. the weather also has something to do with that, put some on before going outside and licking your lips also causes them to dryWhy do my lips keep getting chap?
I've had the same problem. If it cold windy, or dry, your lips will quickly abord any moisture or products you apply. Try Carmex lip protection, it works wonders on chapped lips.
vaseline is fab - put it on thick in the night. after your shower/bath always scrub your lips (firmly but not too vigorously) to rub off any dead and dry cells and stop the build up pf thick chapped lips. then just slap on more vaseline. - i find that gloss really dries out lips, stick to chap sticks, vaseline, 8 hour cream type products.
Could be that you're not drinking enough water, lick your lips often, or live in a cold climate area. After you brush your teeth, lightly brush your lips to expholiate them. To keep my lips soft, I use Softlips. The french vanilla is my favorite. It also contains SPF so it protects your lips from sun.
Maybe you lick it off. Try drinking more water.
I have too go with the other two answers, WATER! it helps you stay hydrated. You may also try one of those products that you scrub the lips with and it makes you have soft lips.
drink lots of water.
Try something stronger or medicated or switch to another chap stick
is it cold were you are right now because in cold weather your lipsget chapped easier
I have the same damn problem. It seems the more stuff (Chap stick, Blistick, Vaseline) I use the chap per they get! If someone gives you a good answer please forward it. Thanks ;)
One, you might not be drinking enough water, so your lips are chap from that. Another reason is you are kissing too much. And finally, there is the weather that can do this as well. Make sure you drink pleanty of water, and keep the lip gloss on.
